Who We Are

Zion Baptist Church has been a spiritual and community partner in Reidsville and Rockingham County since its founding in 1900 CE.

For well over a century Zion has led and served in supporting local and foreign missions, community economic development, provided leadership in addressing the social issues impacting our community (education, homelessness, healthcare, and social justice), and shared spiritual nurture and renewal for all who suffer and need comfort.>>>Read More

Making All the Right Connections

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.  1 Corinthians 12:12 (KJV)

The mission of the Zion Baptist Church becomes a transformative action (ministry) in our community and the world through a number of dedicated leaders and members who share their spiritual gifts and talents in the following ministry areas:

  • Pastoral Care
  • Deacon Ministry
  • Christian Education
  • Programming Ministry
  • Youth Ministry
  • Music Ministry
  • Ushers Ministry
  • Trustees Ministry
  • Finance Ministry
  • Dance Ministry
  • Information and Technology Ministry
  • Hospitality and Décor Ministry
  • Kitchen Ministry
  • Hospital/Nursing Home Visitation Ministry

Each of these ministry areas function to nurture Christian fellowship, provide opportunities for spiritual growth and development, and to fulfill our calling to serve God and love our neighbor.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.  Matthew 28:19-20

We possess a rich history and strong foundation of leadership and participation in Christian missions in our local community and throughout the world. We provide mission support to our community through gifts-in-kind and financial donations made directly to those in need or through collaborations with other religious, civic, and/or non-profit organizations. We serve our community with our presence and time by volunteering in our public school system, hospitals, and nursing homes. Here are a few ways we participate in missions activities:

Site Host/Distribution for FEED Rockingham Inc.

Host for NC MedAssist OTC Medication Community Distribution

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. Psalm 70:4
